Respiratory Physical Therapy

mask white

Respiratory physiotherapy treats respiratory conditions with the aim of improving oxygen supply to the body and reducing symptoms of dyspnea (shortness of breath), fatigue, coughing, and expectoration. Respiratory physiotherapy uses various techniques to clear secretions that obstruct the airways, promote lung expansion, and increase resistance to exertion.

The treatment is applied to all ages, including babies and children, who, due to the particularities of their respiratory system, are also exposed to infections of this type.

Most frequent problems

  • Chronic bronchitis;
  • Asthma and bronchiolitis;
  • Pneumonia;
  • Heart disease;
  • Smokers or former smokers;
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease;
  • Respiratory intervention in the pre- and post-operative period;
  • Emphysema;
  • Cystic or pulmonary fibrosis;
  • Bronchiectasis;
  • Respiratory failure.

Most we do

In addition to applying specific techniques, our physical therapists assist with bronchial hygiene, teach strategies for managing fatigue, and develop appropriate exercise programs.
