Osgood-Schlatter syndrome is an osteomuscular condition common in adolescents, predominantly males between 10 and 15 years of age. It is characterized by inflammation occurring in the cartilage of the knee and the anterior surface of the tibia due to excessive stress on the patellar tendon, caused by very rapid growth or overload. It causes pain in the anterior part of the knee, which may occur even during simple activities such as walking.
