Post-operative rehabilitation following rotator cuff repair surgery

In some cases of rotator cuff muscle tears, surgical intervention may be the treatment option when other conservative treatments have failed. Surgery may be performed arthroscopically or through an open procedure (“open surgery”), aiming to treat the identified lesions. Rehabilitation after surgery follows a specific protocol according to each clinical case in order to respect the surgical intervention performed and restore muscle strength, normal muscle control, and range of motion.
