Post-operative rehabilitation following shoulder replacement
Shoulder replacement is an orthopedic surgery in which the shoulder joint (glenohumeral joint) is replaced with a prosthesis. The most common causes are complex fractures of the humerus, severe osteoarthritis, and avascular necrosis of the humeral head. Rehabilitation after surgery follows a specific protocol, aiming to restore the greatest possible joint mobility and muscle strength to allow the performance of daily activities.
