Dorsalgia (thoracic spine pain)
It is defined as pain felt in the thoracic spine and may have various origins arising from thoracic spine structures such as the vertebral joints, the joints between the spine and the ribs, muscle spasms, and ligament alterations. It is also possible to feel pain in the thoracic spine that is referred from the cervical spine, lumbar spine, or even from the viscera. A differential diagnosis is necessary to understand which structure is at the origin of the symptoms. In this region there are also many complaints derived from postural alterations such as hyperkyphosis, flattening of the thoracic kyphosis, and scoliosis (see).
