Pediatric Osteopathy

mask white

Both in the womb and during birth, the baby may be poorly positioned or subjected to excessive pressure or tension on different musculoskeletal structures, especially the skull, which can cause injuries that may be the source of signs and symptoms that normally result in loss of mobility of some structure, which in the future may result in scoliosis, dental malocclusion, astigmatism, or irritability, among many others.

What we do

The main objective of osteopathy is to resolve/correct musculoskeletal changes that occur after birth and/or during growth, so that later, at school age, adolescence, and adulthood, there are no major consequences or compensations, thus treating the symptoms and correcting the structural imbalances that favor the body's mechanical function. The earlier they are detected, the more effective the treatment will be.

If there were complications during pregnancy or if your baby was subjected to pressure on the mother's belly, vacuum or forceps delivery, if they were born by C-section, if artificial oxytocin was used to produce strong and irregular contractions, or if you simply want to have a check-up to ensure that your baby or child grows up healthy, consult one of our professionals who, in addition to being osteopaths, are also physical therapists, providing an even more comprehensive service.
